Summer Art Therapy Groups

Art Therapy Group for Parents and Caregivers of Children with Autism

This art therapy group will offer support and validation of experience amongst adult peers, opportunities for establishing further connection with their children by exploring the powers of art-making, and in essence a scheduled time for self-care, support, and healing, also done through the visual expression of experience and emotions. This group runs for 8 weeks, with a 2 hour session once per week, and will have a maximum of 8 participants; this can be sets of parents or individual parents/caregivers. The specific time and day the group will be held is flexible, likely an evening during the week, or Saturday afternoon depending on the availability of the participants. The group will begin in Summer 2015.
